Ryan is a human resources leader with 10+ years of experience in the field, mostly in the nonprofit sector. As a HR generalist, Ryan has experience managing talent acquisition efforts, administering benefits and compensation programs, making policy, overseeing performance management processes, dealing with employee relations matters, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Prior to joining the Council on Foundations, Ryan was HR Manager at the Shriver Center on Poverty Law, spent several years working in the for-profit sector in a HR capacity, and served in administrative roles with The Bridge Project at the University of Denver. Ryan is a SHRM Certified Professional and earned bachelor’s degrees in biology and political science from the University of Colorado and Roosevelt University, respectively.
