Annie Tolbert

Annie joins the Council from Water.org, an international NGO with a mission of safe water and sanitation for all. She held multiple roles within the development team, including project management where she focused on removing barriers that inhibited fundraising and most recently, leading donor engagement amongst foundations, corporations, and philanthropists to drive revenue by providing donors with access, information, and experiences. Annie entered the nonprofit sector through an internship with the National Alliance on Mental Illness and developed a passion for fundraising during her career at Cerner Corporation, an innovative health technology company, where she was deeply engaged with Cerner’s Charitable Foundation. She is a graduate of the University of Colorado Denver, where she received her Master’s in Public Administration, and the University of Kansas, where she majored in Psychology and Applied Behavioral Sciences with a concentration in Community Health and Development. Outside of work, Annie enjoys spending quality time with her family and friends. Her favorite hobbies include glamping, enjoying live music, obsessing over documentaries, and discovering new parks.
