Storytelling for Engagement that Counts!
Part of the Orton Family Foundation’s Heart & Soul Talks series, Storytelling for Engagement that Counts!, is a 60-minute conversation about how story sharing is an effective way to bridge divides, involve everyone, and unite community members around what they value.
Personal story is a key element of the Orton Family Foundation's Community Heart & Soul™ method of community development that uses story to illuminate a community's history, priorities, and aspirations, and then distills them in a way that enables residents to drive local decision-making and take action.
This call, which first aired on July 9, 2015, features Orton's Director of Programs Alece Montez-Griego, Elaine Brett, project co-coordinator for the Heart & Soul project in the North Fork Valley of Colorado, and Holli Andrews, executive director, Framingham Downtown Renaissance and former intern with Biddeford, Maine's Heart & Soul project.
